About SurroundSound
"Rock quintet Surround Sound materialized in Geneva, IL, following the 2003 dissolution of the area punk band Slow Motion Massacre. Bobby Lord, Justin Park, Dave Stach, and Jake Anderson collectively decided to change their band's name and musical style after seeing Anderson's older brother Zack perform with his power pop outfit, the Velvet Velvet. Determined to undergo a complete transformation, the guys switched up on their instruments as well.
