Surface Wound is a New York-based power trio consisting of Sandy Smallens (bass/vox) and Tommy Vinton (drums), both originally of suburban absurdists Too Much Joy, and Steve Hamilton (guitarist/vox), who replaced initial guitarist/singer Skip (ex-Wynona Riders). SW released a self-titled EP digitally in 2005 on People Suck Music, Too Much Joy's label, and in November of 2009 they released their full-length debut LP, "The Kids Are All Gone" (Acquired Taste).
