Wilson and Byers met at Cecil Sharp’s in Camden in 1996 and joined forces singing Kate Bush and traditional folk songs then started to write. Hoad soon came along with fabulous guitars and a voice to blast you into the backseat. The trio became a quartet in the early 2000’s with first Nicola Hillary, then Debbie Chalmers and now Elisa Bergersen bringing richly textured fiddle parts to the distinctive Suntrap sound. Once described as Fairport meets Fleetwood Mac, the songs clearly take influence from both English folk and Americana.
