About Sunset Four
The Sunset Four (also known as the Sunset Four Jubilee Singers) was a pioneering African-American vocal quartet that played a key role in the early recording era of the 1920s. Comprised of members Andy Bryant, Fred J. Vaughan, Leonard Burton, and William "Hoss" Crawford, the group specialized in the jubilee quartet tradition, characterized by tight four-part harmonies and a cappella spirituals. Between 1924 and 1925, they recorded extensively for Paramount Records
