About Straylight Interstate
Inspired by William Gibson, James Cagney and the racket that bands like Ride, The Verve and Campag Velocet had been kicking out - Straylight Interstate formed in 2003 and over the next two years put out 2 EP's - We Got Soul and The Parachute Junkie. After building up a decent local following and a reputation as a quality live act, gigs soon followed at prestigious London venues such as The Astoria, 100 Club, Water Rats and Camden Barfly venues. The band split in 2005 and subsequent members formed Chiltern High-Flyers Subrosa5.
