Filth ridden sludge noise merchants STRANK have been described as “elephants marching-tastic sludge metal” by metalsucks.net and compared to Crowbar. The band is unashamedly influenced by them as well as Will Haven, Swarm of the Lotus and Neurosis among others. STRANK are tug-core (Strangle Wank for the post-watershed audience). Punishingly heavy with thick groove laden riffs, they seek to define themselves by smashing the proverbial back doors of metal in with their purple headed knuckle dusters.
