Steve was born in 1975 in Ojai, California. He got his start playing folk songs on his banjo in his Cleveland basement writing simple songs. In 2009 he wrote a string of songs on a tongue-in-cheek album titled Inbred Country Hick (Demos) and followed up in 2010 with a low-fi, but much more sincere album, Turnpike, in which he primarily plays a six-string guitar with a couple throw-backs to folk sounds.
