About Steve Pettifer
Formerly known as Deckmonkey, Steve is a 30-something DJ based in Bath in the South West of England. A relative latecomer to dance music (he didn't start listening to it or clubbing until he went to university in 1994 in Southampton, England), he initially started playing trance and upbeat funky and piano house but a penchant for Portishead, Orbital, Leftfield, Underworld, Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy and similar artists led him towards progressive house.
