About Steve Hanft
Steve Hanft (born Steven P. Hanft, 3 May 1966 in Ventura, California) is an American independent film director and musician. Hanft has directed over seventy music videos for groups including the Cure, Stone Roses, Delinquent Habits, Primal Scream, and Spoon. He still directs music videos but lately has been focusing on directing films including "Strange Parallel" (1998), "Southlander" (2001, with a cameo by Elliott Smith), and a documentary feature entitled "Return of the Rub-a-Dub Style" (2008.)
