Steve Augeri (born January 30, 1959 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American rock singer. Journey hired Steve Augeri in 1998 to replace Steve Perry, after Perry left the band following their brief mid-1990s reunion due to touring conflicts and Perry's health issues. Augeri and Perry have similar vocal styles, and are sometimes confused for that (plus their similar physique and same first name.) Augeri's debut with the band was on the single, "Remember Me," from the Armageddon movie soundtrack.
