States of Melba is a nerd rock band based in Western Pennsylvania consisting of Jon Atkins on keyboards, Russ Cogdell on guitar and vocals, Steve Peck on drums, and KDave Trinh on tenor saxophone. The bands claimed that they "sounded closest to" They Might Be Giants and, with songs with content ranging from Valhalla to ghosts on motorcycles, this claim isn't hard to dispute. The band has recorded one album to date entitled "Malevolent Legumes."
