
Spot 1019 was a quirky comedic stoner rock band influenced by surf music, UFO's and a world gone mad that owed them a buzz. Fronted by a tall raspy voiced character with a penchant for pot, they started in Santa Cruz, California in the mid 1980's. Their first album, eponymously named "Spot 1019," was released on the Pitch-a-Tent label that was founded by members of local compatriots Camper Van Beethoven.
