there are more than one artist called Spiv: 1) Spiv were a British group signed by Pye records. They were sent into the studio with Pye A&R man Laurcie aka Paul St. John aka Laurie Marshall. They released one single, "Oh You Beautiful Child" b/w "Little Girl" for Pye records 1973. Laurice blamed BBC's less than enthusiastic reaction to Birtish groups and lack of air-play as the band's foil. New York's Mighty Mouth Music recently reissued the single.
