There is more than one artist with this name: 1. Emerging from the vibrant P-Funk orbit of the late 1970s, the Space Cadets were masters of the "intergalactic groove." Formed by alumni of the Parliament-Funkadelic machine, they blended heavy, synthesized basslines with cosmic lyricism and theatrical, sci-fi stage personas. The "Space Cadets" were essentially a P-Funk "supergroup" and offshoot project led by producer/guitarist Nairobi Sailcat. The lineup featured some of the most heavy-hitting "funkateers" from the Parliament-Funkadelic orbit.
