About South Wales Striking Miners Choir
The album Shoulder To Shoulder was a split/collaboration between the industrial group Test Dept. and the South Wales Striking Miners Choir, recorded in support of the UK miners' strike of 1984-1985. Test Dept. contributed a few tracks of their harsh industrial rhythms and backed the miners on "Comrades", with the remainder of the album featuring traditional singing by the male choir, poetry and speeches from the strike.
