David was born in Dartford, Kent (UK) on November 19th 1959 to Yvonne and Ernest Kingston - the first of three children. In the late sixties the family relocated to the Somerset countryside, living initially without electricity or running water in an old farmhouse located on the edge of Exmoor. David was a member of the Hare Krishnas from 1980 until the mid 90s. David now lives in Bushey, England with his social worker wife Deborah. He writes and records songs in his home studio.
