Song For Wendy are a duo -and a couple- from Iceland and Denmark. Built on the vocals and atmospheric keyboards of Dísa Jakobsdóttir and the picking guitar and vocals of Mads Mouritz, they wear frequent comparisons to Beach House and the classic duo’s of the 50’s. Song For Wendy makes a rare attempt to write basic romantic songs using English poetry from the last three hundred years. Their music is influenced by Neil Young and the keyboard aesthetics of Brian Eno ’s ambient period.
