Something with Trees formed in Peoria, IL in August of 2011 while Brian was hosting a local open mic that Collin regularly attended. After being blown away by what Collin could do on the mandolin/violin, Brian humbly asked if Collin would be interested in collaborating. I suppose the fact you're currently reading a band bio should give you an idea as to what his answer was. Brian had been friends with Shaina for a few years and had even shared the stage together a handful of time prior to the band's inception.
