About Somersaults
Somersaults formed in the summer of 2004 after the dissolution of the Mondays, of which Kevin O'Sullivan and Nathan Origer were a part. Spurred by a need to have fun and to create, David Gonzalez approached Kevin and Nathan, asking if he could play with them. They agreed, and for the better part of a year they thrashed about, making noise, engendering tinnitus, and soaking themselves in sweat. In their furor, Nathan broke his “drum stool,” David went through 10+ packs of strings
