About Solitary Neglect
Solitary Neglect was started by Dan around March of 1999. The band was a typical suburban hardcore punk band, comprised of local skaters band BMXers. Dan was 15 and Erik was 17, and we didn't have a clue how to play our instruments or write songs. Early on, we had lots of our friends in the band, but most weren't really into the music which made finding a stable line-up difficult. Our songs were influenced by bands like Hellnation, Dropdead, and Code 13 along with some early '80s hardcore.
