About Social Parasite
The origins of Parasite date back to 1992, when after leaving a death metal outfit from Ada Oklahoma called Destructive Criticism, Joe D. & Brad Day sought to combine thrash metal, doom metal and stoner metal with some of the classic 70's party rock atmosphere & charisma of bands such a KISS and Black Sabbath. Equal parts Slayer, Cathedral, Monster Magnet, Black Sabbath, KISS, Venom, Celtic Frost and Exodus. SP arose in the OKC metal scene in its initial lineup from 1992-1995
