Slit My Wrists or Die Trying is an emocore/pop-punk/punk rock band from Madison, Wisconsin formed in early 2006. They're noted for their lack of drum and bass. Though the members claim to be a straight edge hardcore band, they blend the raw emotion of emocore with the the poppy chord progressions and trite highschool lyrical content of pop-punk creating a unique sound. The band started at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Witte hall. Originally a one song project, Mike and Travis began recording when Cale walked into the room.
