Sleeping Loops started out as an album written by Kyle McCarthy. Since Kyle was 16 he had written all of his solo music under the name "Speedwalker of 89." However, when Kyle wrote "Sleeping Loops" the album in his friend's basement studio he realized that what he had just made was completely different from all the music he had made before. Since then Kyle has composed hundreds of sleeping sounding, mellow, lo-fi loops. His song-writing philosophy focuses on capturing a musical moment in its most pure and freshest form.
