There are two bands called Skinchanger: 1) Skinchanger is the brain child of Chicago saxophonist Labrat (Environmental Encroachment, Sick Sad World, Dirty Surgeon Insurgency). The band blends elements of prog rock, metal, and free-jazz, paying homage to early prog groups like Magma and Henry Cow as well as contemporary acts like The Flying Luttenbachers. The band's first album, "Skin Changer," features Labrat as its sole instrumentalist and producer, featuring drums, alto and baritone saxophone, bass and guitar and keys.
