Currently residing in the "Where Are They Now?" file, Skeeter Run were influential pioneers in the North American Alt-Bluegrass-Americana movement from 2000-2002. From their jaw-dropping debut at the Fresno County Monster Truck Pull Quarterfinals (Lead Guitarist Erik Johnson was arrested on-stage for violation of local public nudity laws), to their emotional farewell at the (cancelled) Greater-Salinas Asparagus Festival, Skeeter Run redefined the boundaries of a genre. - Rolling Stone, December 2003
