About Siúcra
There are two bands under the name Siúcra: 1) Siúcra is a five piece band hailing from Galway, Ireland, who’s genre spans from blues rock, folk, trad, all the way to shimmering shoegaze. Formed during the heat of COVID summers, their collective love to play music carried on long after the pandemic. The band consists of Ophelia Mortimer (lead vocals), Ben McGowan (backing vocals, rhythm guitar), Diarmuid Byrne (lead guitar), Rory Murphy (fiddle) and Eoin O’ Shaughnessy (bass).
