About Simple Duple
Simple Duple are an alternative pop band formed on the Sunshine Coast in early March 2009. The two peice act consists of talented pianist and member of hard rock band Adonis, Alys de Groot and singer Lizzie Irwin who is also a soloist and an acoustic guitarist. The duo formed in an unexpected way, Alys played piano for an assignment, asked Lizzie to sing then the jamming and improvising began and things fell into place. Alys had a knack for creating emotional and fun progressions and Lizzie just wanted to sing and make up lyrics on the spot.
