About Simonnewcomb
Born in Arizona, reared in St. Louis, living in Ypsilanti. Simonnewcomb is the name of a group started by Travis Bursik in 1997, and has evolved from lo-fi bedroom recordings to meditative looped guitar to full-band noise squall to layered vocal compositions. The most recent record, Missouri Compromise, was released by I Am Janet! Records in 2006. The next EP, Mates, will be released sometime in late 2006 or early 2007.
