About Simon de Bonnefond
Simon de Bonnefond (fl. 1550’s) was a 16th Century French composer. According to an edition of a Requiem Mass published in 1556, Simon de Bonnefond was maistre des enfants at the Cathedral of Clermont-Ferrand. Two chansons ascribed to him in Du Chemin publications from the 1550’s. Frank Dobbins, New Grove 2, “Bonnefond, Simon,” New Grove 2, III, 867.
