Simon Amorosius (born probably in Krakow around 1550; died after 1604) was a Polish composer. It is only known about the life of Arosius that he was a member of the court chapel of the Polish king Sigismund III. Of his works, only the motet Cantabant sancti canticum is preserved, which is contained in the Melodiae sacrae collection published in Krakow in 1604 by Wincenty Lilius, and which proves his high typesetting art.
