About Silent Rivers
Silent Rivers is a heavy metal band from Hveragerði, Iceland. History Founded in 2004 by Ari Harðarson (guitar) and Víðir "Mýrmann" Þrastarson, it started out as a soft rock band that was mainly influenced by the band Pink Floyd. They contacted Árni Þráinsson to play bass in the band, since they knew him quite well after having worked with him in a pizzeria plus Ari had played with him in an Iron Maiden cover band. Shortly after the band was founded their drummer quit due to lack of both time and interest.
