Sigtryggur Berg Sigmarsson was born in Akureyri, Iceland in 1977. He studied sound art at the Fachochschule in Hannover,Germany from 1998 to 2003 and has been a long-time member of the band Stilluppsteypa. For some time he has been releasing solo works also, with albums on Trente Oiseaux, ERS, Helen Scarsdale, and Fire Inc.
