sidetrackSi is a solo project featuring sidetrackSi's music with guest musicians. Simon Pontin (sidetrackSi) is a session bassist from South Africa who has played in many local bands, as well as many award winning shows and theatre productions. However, playing cover music is tantamount to musical prostitution, so he has been performing all his own music since 2003. He is responsible for the drum and keyboard programming, sampling, guitar, engineering and production.
