Bas Kragt and Matthijs Steur decided to start a musical formation in the beginning of May 2009. The name: Showering Bears. Bas Kragt was born in February 1991, just 2 months before Matthijs Steur, who was born in April 1991. Bas and Matthijs first met each other at a holiday camp in Breda, The Netherlands, when they were both 8 years old. The kept holding contact eversince which resulted in a great friendship. In 2008 they began to see each other more often and they realised that they were both interested in the same kinds of music.
