Ska is dead. Shortstop From Tokyo is alive. A good 3 1/2 years ago, Jeff and Kyle sat around in Math class, doodling and cheating on homework. Back then, Jeff was in a band by the name of Poor Boy. He asked Beth about helping his band by adding her saxophone to a ska song they had written. She was happy to do so, but unfortunately Poor Boy fell through. Realizing he had a sax player who was also willing to find a trombone player, he decided to buck the trend of "modern rock" and start a ska band.
