About Shirin Jumaniazova
Shirin Jumaniazova (also written Shirin Jumaniyozova; born 1965) is a xalfa musician from the Khorezm region in Uzbekistan. Besides singing, she plays dayra (drum). Jumaniazova graduated from a music high school and from the Conservatory in Tashkent, while at the same time studying with her mother, a well-known xalfa. Shirin Jumaniazova is one of the most popular xalfas currently working in Khiva.
