About Shemsu Hor
Shemsu Hor was formed late in 1997 as a duo of Jason Just and Mark Grady, both from the Palmerston North, Aotearoa, gothic band Burnt Weeping Eyes. Shemsu Hor moved from 'side-project' status to a more focused effort with the dissolution of Burnt Weeping Eyes in 1998. Taking Kemetic mythology and cosmology as their primary theme, Shemsu Hor recorded the Memories Of The Dawn EP during the year between 1997 and 1998, at Just's own Symbolique Studios.
