About Serrote Preto
Serrote Preto is a group that was started around 2000, in the city of Porto Alegre, South Brazil. It was the result of a meeting between artists in different fields, such as acting, music and visual arts that joined to sing and play drums to celebrate popular festivities. Time has passed and Serrote Preto has acquired experience. During its path, the group has added musical research praxis with Brazilian rhythms and instruments to musicians from various backgrounds, ethnicity and place of origin.
