About Sergo Kamalov
Sergo Kamalov is a singer who accompanies himself on the kamancheh, a type of fiddle. Kamalov is ethnically Armenian but was born and still lives in Tblisi, Georgia. In the 1970s and '80s he was the leader of the Sayat Nova Ensemble. Besides speaking many languages of the Caucasus - Armenian, Georgian, Azerbaijani, Russian - he plays the various styles of these cultures. He also plays tar and drums.
