About Semi Femme
Semi Femme is a Brooklyn-based band formed in January 2014. With two basses, drums and vocals, the trio crafts tightly arranged explorations of dark, bass harmonies and propulsive rhythms in the vein of Bauhaus, Suicide, Beak, Lydia Lunch, Joy Division, Liquid Liquid, and Delta 5. The name is rumored to mean a variety of things, including group love triangles, tackling of gender ideals, gay practices or even an abstract, roundabout way to deal with their own unshakable homophobia; nothing has been confirmed. www.semifemme.com
