About Self Party
Self Party，最初是由嵇灵和邬逸冬，两个热爱着my bloody valentine和the jesus and mary chain那样的音乐的年轻人；在他们所在的乐队经过一系列人员变动后，于2004年以Monkey Power这个略具戏谑意味的臆造词为代号，开始尝试塑造他们心目中理想的自赏派音乐概念。 06年到07年间，他们通过myspace发表了部分小样。并在一颇对脾气的独立唱片组织-miniless recording的帮助下，试验性地发行了国内首张温暖粗糙并充满Shoegaze式审美趣味的EP专辑，从此引起了国内外自赏派音乐爱好者的注意。 随后，他们又十分惊喜地吸收了一名富有才华且同样喜爱自赏派音乐的成员-陈戟。并参加了由miniless recording策划组织的miniless-showcase演出，在这一系列演出中他们更名为如今的Self Party。 这是他们曾经的自我介绍： 他们用合成器制造吉他噪音招摇过市，他们关心T恤图案多过关心自己的歌词。 他们不愿意给声音添加任何意义，他们讨厌任何形式自圆其说的“创作目的”。 他们的现场演出紧张无序粗糙不堪，他们的Demo紧张有序粗糙不堪。 他们可以是空洞的形式主义的致敬乐队，也可以是国内最纯粹的Shoegazing声音。 目前他们暂停了演出，酝酿新的专辑，请保持关注。
