Sebastiano Cherici , or also Chierici or Clerici ( Pistoia, January 20, 1647 - Pistoia, 1704), was an Italian composer of the late Baroque, active between Ferrara and Pistoia. He trained musically in Bologna, as a pupil of Giovanni Paolo Colonna . Subsequently he was " suprano musician " in the Academy of Death in Ferrara, the city where he remained for many years holding the position of chapel master of the cathedral from 1670 to 1679 and master of the Academy of the Compagnia dello Spirito Santo starting at least from 1672 until 1695 .
