About Scottie Royal
In 2005 Scottie Royal started making his first beats with a copy of FL Studio. At the time he had been an avid fan of Hip Hop constantly listening to records produced by DJ Premier, Pete Rock and many others. Building off that influence he started sampling any material he could get his hands on. The early years were sample heavy, but as he progressed with his craft, he began to explore further ways of creating music. Not surprisingly this is when Scottie started listening to Dilla, The Roots, and 20 Syl.
