About Schola Cantorum Karolus Magnus
14 members (including conductor Stan Hollaardt) male Dutch choir from Nijmegen. Founded in 1988 this group regularly performs at home and abroad. They have recorded 5 albums. The Schola specializes in plain chant and is aiming to preserve authentic Gregorian chant. Thereby they mainly rely on Medieval sources, especially on the work done in the 9th century by the monks in Solemnes and later by their followers.
