About Samn Johnson
Samn Johnson was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan in 1991. His first musical experience was as the songwriter and guitarist for a punk rock band when he was 13. A few years later he taught himself to play the piano and began composing classical music. He left home at 16 to attend the Interlochen Arts Academy, where he studied composition for two years, and has continued his composition training at the University of Michigan. He has experimented with writing for a variety of ensembles
