
Sam Shackleton, also known by his Gaelic name/moniker, Sorley the Bard, is a Scottish singer-songwriter and folk artist. He has recently graduated from the School of Scottish Studies at the University of Edinburgh, studying Scottish Studies and specializing in folklore and ethnomusicology. He spends his days writing, performing and busking around the streets of Edinburgh and beyond. His music is deeply inspired by the rich trans-Atlantic musical oral traditions of Scotland, Ireland, and the United States.
