Sam Melnick is a modern classical composer. He was born on October 12, 1992 in Colorado Springs, Colorado and was raised in Austin, Texas. He is currently enrolled at the University of North Texas and studying composition with Panayotis Kokoras. His compositions are mostly written for full orchestra or ensembles with orchestral instruments. A large majority of his works are written to be performed, though a few are written for electronic audio production.
