
Sajida Obeid (ساجدة عبيد) is an Iraqi gypsy singer. She has been dubbed the “Queen of Weddings in Iraq.” She began her career in the 70s, performing traditional Iraqi songs. In 2002, she had a breakthrough with her song, “El Sheesha.” In the same year, she released a hugely popular repertoire of Iraqi song covers like “Hatha El Helw,” “Shgad El Galb,” and “Khala Ya Khala.” Obeid has performed in the Radh music style, which can be characterized as dance music with added synthesizers
