Sahara C was born in Zimbabwe, and is now based in the UK. Growing up under influences such as Anita Baker, Janet Jackson, Diana Ross & The Supremes, Gladys Knight, Millie Jackson, Michael Jackson, Pink, Mya, Monica - to name a few, Sahara C's vocals are soulful and smooth. An aspirant singer from an early age, but always very shy as a child, Sahara C started singing publically from age 19. She did her first studio session with Alton Edwards, & went on to having a regular performances around Harare
