The Rumpke Mountain Boys have been spreading their unique genre of music called “trashgrass” since 2003. The label, and the band’s name, are homage to the Rumpke Mound, a landfill famous for being the highest geographical point in Hamilton County, near their hometown on Cincinnati. A fully acoustic string quartet, the band features Jason Wolf on banjo, Ben Gourley on Mandolin, Adam Copeland on guitar, and newest member J.D. Westmoreland on bass.
